The SmartChip SNP Genotyping Panels provide an easy and integrated solution to cost-effectively interrogate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). It is ideal for high-throughput applications such as screening and validation.
Simple Process
Simply indicate the number of SNPs to be interrogated, and how many samples will be run. Send an aliquot of your TaqMan® SNP assays to WaferGen. We dispense the primers and probes on to the chip and return your pre-loaded SmartChip SNP Genotyping panel within two weeks.
Once you receive the SmartChip SNP Genotyping panel, the automated workflow ensures that the entire process–from sample loading to data analysis–requires less than 1 hour of hands-on time.
Applications
Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genome-wide association study (GWAS) validation for SNPs are readily accomplished with the accurate and cost-effective SNP genotyping capabilities of the SmartChip qPCR System.
Significant Cost Savings and Lower Sample Input
When compared to 5 μl volumes run on conventional 384-well microtiter plates, by running 100 nl reaction volumes on the SmartChip System, the customer can benefit from lower costs per genotype and greatly reduce the sample input required. For example:
- up to a 50-fold reduction in the amount of TaqMan SNP Genotyping assays leading to significantly lower cost / genotype
- up to a 50-fold reduction in the amount of Master Mix required leading to reagent cost savings
- up to a 8-fold decrease in time to results leading to quicker publication and results

The 5184-nanowell SmartChip SNP Genotyping panel, in combination with TaqMan® SNP Genotyping assays allows for a significant decrease in the cost per genotype and improves time to results while maintaining superior accuracy and data quality.
