SmartChip panels are gene-specific sets of primers pairs that are optimized and pre-loaded into 5,184 individual nanowells for high-density, quantitative gene expression profiling with two-step SYBR green real-time PCR. High-density real-time PCR is made possible by WaferGen Biosystems innovations in nanoliter scale reactions. A 30,000+ nanowell SmartChip configuration is under development.
